Maxine Builder, Editor, The Strategist, New York Magazine

Maxine Builder was named editor of The Strategist, New York magazine’s popular site devoted to helping readers navigate the vast online shopping universe, in April 2021. She first joined the Strategist as a staff writer in 2017 and quickly rose to become the site’s first managing editor during a period of rapid growth, then deputy editor in 2020. Maxine received a 2021 ASME Next Award, honoring outstanding achievement by magazine journalists under the age of 30. She graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University.
