People Digital is currently hiring a full-time, freelance digital news writer to work Mondays-Fridays 8-4pm EST. Guaranteed 40 hours a week.

This is a fast-paced news operation covering 16 vertical subjects spanning entertainment, hard news and lifestyle. The writer must be comfortable writing about everything from health, politics and crime to celebrity news and food trends, and able to handle a high volume of content, upwards of seven posts a day.

At least one year's experience writing for a news website in a high-velocity environment required. Experience at a national news brand preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
Position is remote, with option to go into NYC or LA office.

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Digital News Writing: 2 years (Required)
  • Journalism: 2 years (Required)
